Remote Access

Remote Access puts Phalanx’s screens on your phone: start and stop tasks, read statuses, check your checkouts. It’s the app itself, not a cut-down copy.

  1. On your PC, open Settings > Remote Access and press Pair a Phone.
  2. Scan the code with your phone’s camera and open the link. The code works once, for 10 minutes. Or press Copy Link Instead and send the link to your phone.
  3. Set up Face ID or your fingerprint when asked. The phone needs it every time it connects.
  4. Back on the PC, press Let It In.

Add the page to your home screen (Share > Add to Home Screen on iPhone) so it opens like an app.

  • Your phone connects straight to your PC. The Phalanx server only introduces the two, and stores nothing.
  • Every connection needs your face or fingerprint, so a copied link alone opens nothing.
  • On networks that block direct connections, such as some cellular ones, the connection goes through an encrypted relay. The relay can’t read it.
  • A few things only work on the PC itself: activating your license, exporting files, and pairing.

Settings > Remote Access lists paired phones. Revoke one and it can’t connect again until it’s paired again.
